Movement Church invites people from all backgrounds at any point in their spiritual growth to join us as we seek to engage in heartfelt, vibrant worship and biblical teaching that gives us truths to live out in practical, contemporary ways.

Lead Pastor
With a history of 11 years as Campus Pastor for Upward Church Norfolk, Jesse Melendez and his wife have now been entrusted with a new mission. They are taking the baton from their previous role to birth a new church, marking the beginning of an exciting new vision for our community. Pastor Jesse believes Movement Church is strategically positioned to significantly impact the 7 Cities of Hampton Roads. He and his wife, Elizabeth, have been in ministry for over 20 years, and together, they have witnessed countless lives be transformed by the power of the Holy Spirit. They believe God will continue to do the same here in Norfolk, Va. He has been married to his lovely wife for 21 years, and they are blessed with four children.
